"We have found that life is just too short, so lets have a lot of fun in a safe shooting environment."

"Your best days of shotgunning usually are somewhere between just trying to have fun and being aware of the location of the next target."

"There are shotgunning basics that once learned will forever simplify how you shoot a shotgun."

2018 RTIC All-Around Sporting Clay Series

In an effort to build a complete set of skills for our shooters we have decided to put together a series that includes Sporting Clays, FITASC, Super Sporting, 5-Stand and even bonus points for subgauges/side events. We realize that the only time many of us see these events is at the "BIG SHOOTS" where the targets may be overly tough and the prices can get very steep. We have divisions for Veteran, Super Veteran and Ladies.

Events

2017 RTIC All-Around Clay Series includes the following 5 NSCA sanctioned events:

Season Kickoff (March 11)

The Pautzke, "Soft but Satisfying" (June 17)

Pacific Sporting Open and FITASC (July 15)

Big Score Challenge (September 10)

Quail Point Championship (October 8)

How it works in 2018:

There will be 3 divisions broken out from 2017 averages or known ability. Classes have NOTHING to do with NSCA class distinction. Winners from last year automatically moved up.

There will be a Veteran Division, a Super Vet Division and a Ladies Division where one is only competing against shooters within that Division. Points are specific to how one does against competitors within that class for each Main Event and Side Event.

Ladies, Vet, Super Vet Main Divisions will start at a maximum of 100 pts.

CLASSIC DIVISIONS:

Pheasant Division: averaged 130+ pts , Chukar Division: averaged 100-129, Quail Division: averaged below 100 pts.

Points: 150 maximum is available from each main event. Example First place gets 150 pts, second gets 149, third gets 148 etc.

There are 5 events but one of the first four will be dropped. Quail Point Championship is required as we will crown winners after the event.

Shootoffs will break ties. This gets our shooters used to shooting in front of others just like a "BIG SHOOT".

Ways to Build Bonus Points in 2018! See below

Bonus Points Method #1: 1 Point for shooting a side event (shooting 1 or shooting 3 its still only 1 pts possible for each shoot day)

BONUS POINT METHODS 2-4. Rewarding a day of good shooting!

Bonus #2. NSCA Punches. 15 shooters in Class for a 12 True Pairs Event: Winner gets 4 Bonus Points, 2nd gets 2 Bonus Points. Third (and ties) gets 1 Bonus Point.

Bonus #3. Only 1 shooter in class. Earns 1 Bonus Pt. We don't care if nobody stepped up to challenge you, you earn a point because you still WON!

Bonus #4. EVENT WINNER BONUS. If you WIN a side event (FITASC, 5-Stand, "Sub-gauge" then you get 1 Bonus Points in addition to whatever you earned in CLASS. Person wins C class with in SxS. They get 1 points in addition to whatever happened in "Class".

2018 CONCURRENT SCORING:

1. Main event scores (working down from 100 for winner per concurrent).

2. Side Event "Punches" award per concurrent. We are treating each concurrent like its own "CLASS". So if Ladies have 10 shooters the top score gets 2 points (like punches) and second place gets 1 point.

3. SIDE Event Bonus of 1 point for winning your concurrent class in an event.

4. SIDE Event Bonus of 1 total point per weekend for just competing in one of our many side events. If you compete in 4 side events its only 1 point total, but at least you get something for your efforts!

Bonus #4. EVENT WINNER BONUS. If you WIN a side event (FITASC, 5-Stand, "Sub-gauge" then you get 1 Bonus Points in addition to whatever you earned in CLASS. Person wins C class with in SxS. They get 1 points in addition to whatever happened in "Class"
